How Our QuickBooks Training Process Works
Step 1 — Free Assessment Call
We start with a free 15-minute call to understand your QuickBooks experience, goals, and challenges. Whether you're brand new or a longtime user, this call helps us build a training plan tailored to your needs.
Step 2 — Custom Training Plan
Based on your assessment, we create a personalized training agenda prioritizing the tasks with the biggest impact on your daily workflow. Sessions are scheduled in 60- or 90-minute blocks to keep learning focused.
Step 3 — Hands-On Training in Your Account
Training is conducted live in your actual QuickBooks account — not a demo. You learn by doing: categorizing your transactions, reconciling your accounts, and running your reports with Amy guiding you step by step. Available via video call or in person for DFW clients.
Step 4 — Follow-Up Support
After each session, you receive a summary and recommended next steps. Amy is available for follow-up support as you start working independently.

No. Our training sessions are fully customized to your current skill level. If you have never opened QuickBooks Online before, we start with the fundamentals — navigating the dashboard, understanding account types, and connecting your bank. If you are already comfortable with the basics, we focus on advanced topics like reporting, class tracking, or automation. During your free assessment call, we determine your starting point and build a training plan from there.
Your own account. We believe hands-on learning in your real data is far more effective than watching someone work in a sample company. You will learn by categorizing your actual transactions, reconciling your real bank accounts, and running reports from your own financial data. This means everything you learn is immediately applicable to your business.
It depends on your starting level and the number of topics you want to cover. Many business owners find that a single 90-minute session covers the essentials they need for day-to-day bookkeeping. For more comprehensive training covering advanced features, we recommend our three-session package, which allows time to practice between sessions and ask follow-up questions. We will recommend the right format during your free assessment call.
Yes. Our QuickBooks Online setup service configures your entire account from scratch, including your chart of accounts, bank feed connections, invoice templates, automation rules, and reporting preferences. Setup is typically completed within three to five business days and includes a walkthrough session so you understand how to navigate your newly configured
account.For most small service-based businesses, we recommend QuickBooks Online (QBO). It is cloud-based, which means you can access your data from any device, it integrates with your bank accounts automatically, and it receives continuous updates from Intuit. QuickBooks Desktop can be appropriate for specific industries or businesses with very high transaction volumes, but it is being phased out by Intuit in favor of the online platform. During your assessment call, we can evaluate your situation and help you make the right choice.
A QuickBooks ProAdvisor is an accounting or bookkeeping professional who has passed Intuit’s official certification exam, demonstrating advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online. The certification covers all aspects of the platform including setup, navigation, banking, reporting, payroll integration, and troubleshooting. ProAdvisors also have access to Intuit’s partner support channels and receive early updates on platform changes. Amy Loveland holds active QuickBooks
ProAdvisor and QuickBooks Payroll certifications through Intuit.Absolutely. Many business owners send their office manager, bookkeeper, or virtual assistant to our training sessions. We tailor the session to the specific tasks and responsibilities that person handles in QuickBooks. We also offer team training sessions where multiple team members learn together, with role-specific instruction for each participant.
Yes. After your training session, you receive a summary of what we covered and recommended next steps. If questions come up as you start working independently, Amy is available for follow-up support. Many of our training clients also transition to our monthly bookkeeping service or book periodic tune-up sessions as their business needs evolve.
